Oregon State Route 36 “Mapleton-Junction City Highway”

This route is the original road from the Eugene end of the Willamette Valley through the Cascades to the Coast. It’s a windy little affair with a lot going for it as a motorcycle road.

It passes through the Alderwood State Wayside and goes most of the way around Triangle Lake. The eastern end of this road also crosses Territorial Highway, which is a another rural N-S thoroughfare that might be more conducive to motorcycle riding than the break-neck dash that is I-5.
